V France: Ireland were also pleased with a win over France, when skip Johnjo Kenny drew to the button with his last stone. This delivery secured a 7-6 win. 
Kenny said: “We put ourselves under a lot of pressure going into that last end. There was a bit of miscommunication between us, our lead put up a guard instead of a strike. But, we got there in the end and that’s the main thing.
“The ice conditions here are great and we’re all really enjoying playing in this venue. So, to win here is great.”

v Sweden: After stealing two points in the second end, Sweden were put to the test by an on-form Irish team, who were millimetres away from causing one of the biggest upsets of the event so far. In the end though, the Swedes emerged the winners, 6-5. This game came down to the last stones and Ireland were millimetres away from causing the biggest upset of the tournament so far. In the end Sweden swept the last stone close enough to take the end by two points and win 6-5, keeping their winning run in intact.
