Held at Greenacres, Scotland on the 20th to 22nd January 2012
Photo © Skip Cottage.
The four nations event was organised by Wales this year - and held in Greenacres, Scotland.
The national associations for each country competed for seven trophies.
Ireland won two of their three events this year - the Hugh Meikle Memorial Trophy against Wales,
the Turnbull Cup against England but lost the Marshall Millenium Trophy against Scotland.
Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone for making this a memorable event.
We were joined by Bob Cowan of the Skip Cottage Curling blog
who has supported the event admirably and
a lively account of the weekend and some great pictures are to be found on the blog.
Next years Four Nations International should be hosted by Ireland, but possibilities of establishing curling at an Irish Ice Rink in Dublin
have arisen and it is hoped that we can swap our host duties with Scotland in the hope of hosting in Ireland in 2014!!
