Held at Basel, Switzerland 11-15th December 2006.

This was the third European Curling Championships for Ireland since official recognition by the ECF & WCF in 2003 and we entered just a mens team this year.

The Irish National Mens team competed in the A league and consisted of 

* Robin Gray	  (Skip),
* John Jo Kenny	  (Third),
* Neil Fyfe	  (Second),
* Peter JD Wilson (Lead),
* Tony Tierney	  (Alternate),
* Gordon McIntyre (Coach).
Ireland's men scored three wins and seven defeats including a tie-break. They finished in ninth position, which unfortunately means relegation to the B league next year.
