Held at Tårnby Curling Club Ice Rink in Copenhagen, Denmark from 3-12th March 2006.

This was the second World Seniors Curling Championships for Ireland since official recognition by the ECF & WCF in 2003 and we entered both a womens & mens team.

Both teams were playing in the B league. There were 15 mens and 12 womens teams competing.

The ICA Senior Womens team competing were
* Fiona Turnbull,
* Jane Paterson,
* Isobel Fyfe,
* Kathy Nixon.
The senior women’s team came first in the B section with four wins and one defeat. They went on to play Canada in the semi-finals but lost 4-9 and also lost the bronze medal playoff against Switzerland 8-9 to give them 4th place overall.

Women's results - Denmark 8-2 Finland 11-3 Netherland 6-5 New Zealand 5-8 USA 8-7

The ICA Senior Mens team competing were
* Tony Teiney,
* Jim Winning,
* John Burns,
* David McClure.
Ireland's senior men came fifth in their section with three wins and three defeats.

Men's Results - Denmark 5-10 Estonia 8-4 Finland 6-7 Iceland 8-4 Japan 8-2 Wales 7-8
